I think that is an interesting point, it made me think a bit. Thanks for sparking my thinking cap. Sometimes I get so much in a rut that I just feel like a record.

As Aion's North American Closed Beta ends, the question remains will it fare better than all other MMO games that are popular in Korea but are rejected in the western hemisphere. For me the issue of Korean Massive Multiplayer Online games is a very interesting one. While they tend to receive insane popularity in their homeland, when they come to the west they get bashed, chewed and spit out on the garbage pile of fails. To some the reasons are pretty obvious but are they really?

People have all sorts of problems with Korean games and to be honest for some of them I have accord, on others to a less degree. First off, their games get little respect because they are not made in the west, which seems like a hilarious thing but sadly-that is the truth.

No doubt it's Champions Online that seems to be getting the superhero MMO headlines of late in the gaming press, both for the new title's release and for some of the issues they've had in relation to that launch. But competition is generally a good thing from a gamer's perspective, and City of Heroes is also stepping up their game, particularly in regards to the Mission Architect.

When the devs introduced the Mission Architect to City of Heroes, was their first step towards embracing player-generated load and adding new dimensions to the game experience. They've announced that the next step with Mission Architect is to have a Guest Writer Program where "comic book notables try their hand at mission design." NCsoft says the program will "invite influential writers and aspiring game or story designers" to collaborate with the City of Heroes devs and bring these missions into the game.

Guest Author Program participants will be announced on a rolling basis, but first up is Rooster Teeth, best known as the people behind Red vs. Blue and Captain Dynamic, and Scott Kurtz from PvPonline. Rooster Teeth will bring Captain Dynamic into actual City of Heroes missions while Kurtz creates missions around the LOLBAT.

I am thinking about jailbreaking my iPhone, but I tried to hack my PSP once and screwed it up (bricked it because I did a step wrong), so I am a little nervous. Is there any potential for something to go wrong and I break my phone? What am I able to do once I jailbreak it?

Unlike assorted MMORPGs, there is no way to attack other players. However, since 2004, several ways of competing with other players have been added. The arrangement of player competition is known as "Conflict", and occurs only with the permission of both players. The first form of competition was called "Ballista", in which players scored points by throwing petras into a castle-like character known as a "Rook". In February 2006, a second form of competition was released called "Brenner", in which players steal the opposing team's flames and place them in a container on their own side. By maintaining these flames, points are awarded which determine the winner. New battle events have also been introduced including "Salvage", "Einherjar", and "Pankration". Square Enix has also instituted a "marriage convention" for those who wish to do so (same-sex character couplings are not permitted).

Final Fantasy XI's job way is largely adapted from Final Fantasy III. Each job has unique abilities, which requirement be activated by the player in order to come into effect, last a limited time, and have a "cooldown" period before they can be used again; traits, which are passive abilities that are always in effect; and a special "2-hour" ability that performs some extraordinary function and has an extraordinary 2-hour-long cooldown period to go with it. Players are able to change their jobs any time they wish inside their 'Mog House' or 'Rent-a-Room', and are also able to get a support job once they reach level 18 in order to learn additional skills and try different combinations, though the job will be half the level of the player's main job. Players are able to improve their job abilities through defeating monsters or completing quests.
